Well, this is the first time I’ve tried saving seeds, so take it with a grain of salt, but that was the advice I was given when I asked a couple local folks.

Strange, I never have problems with peppers and I treat them like tomatoes. The only advice I have is placing 3 seeds in each cell. Yes, you will get 3 plants, but they like company (don’t thin them).

Do you usually put seeds in the freezer? I put them in the fridge. I thought the freezer would be too cold for non-cold loving plants. If the freezer is okay, then I can gain a whole crisper drawer back.

I could so use one of those on the corner of my yard to keep kids from using the slight hill there as a bike ramp.

Well, of course the varieties I wanted I couldn’t find pants for…..and frustratingly at first the first set seemed to do really well, till I repotted them…..

I have never had ANY luck trying to start peppers from seed.

Unlike you, my teachers knew I read well above grade level, read very fast, and retained everything I read. But then that was back in the 1960′s when education was about learning and not indoctrination and equality of outcome.

The funny part is that when he was 16 weeks old he caught and ate a mouse that one of my cats was chasing. Course that was INSIDE the house, and Tibetan Mastiffs are funny about things inside their house. My other dog (Arty) definetly recognized PREY, but Apollo was clearly having fun just playing. What can I say, he’s a nut!

I’m just amazed they are able to side-step nature and just PLAY with what I’m sure they’re aware is food.

Of course I’m sure you feed your puppies enough that they don’t necessarily see a mouse as worth the troubles.
